Error Code [403] - Forbidden

I am unable to download videos on my Nokia 7610. When the video reaches over 1MB, it stops & shows error - Download Failed - error code [403] Forbidden. Please help if you know anything about it.

Bro do u check whether is there enough space in ur memory card! Check n try it may help u Or the error may be due to some network problem.

I use UC Browser v7.9 with BSNL sim card. Access point in use is "bsnlnet". The video was 3gp in format.
By the way, I have 180Mb of free memory bro!

Bro do you get this problem in only some specific sites or in every site ?
It seems that download source is giving the problem.
Because [403] - Forbidden is a server error code.

Just as adas0496,this might be server error,we suggest you change the user agent or access point.

Thanks adas bro! You're right, it was a server error coz I can download videos easily from other sites!

Dear Friends,
I also have the same problem with every sites, i also tried to download the files by symbian version and java version of UC browser but both has the same problem, there is no error when i use the built-in browser or opera applicaion. i followed all the remarks of the save menu like avoiding to save the file in root directory and..., i also checked the free space, it's a big free space on the phone and extended memory,
Normally it's happen when i am downloading the *.jpg file format, (every time had the problem with the *.jpg and often happened for the other file formats) the receiving bytes and the time remain zero and after 2~3 second the error tag will display at the right of row of file name on downloading window. i tried so many times from many sites. i removed the application and reinstalled it but nothing is changed. the problem occurred when i upgrade the application from the previous version of java application to newly update by the built-in update command of the application , although the symbian version of UC had the mentioned problem and i did not use the symbian version because of that.
my phone is: NOKIA N95 8GB, UC 8.0.4.121 S60V3 and V8.0.3.107 Java,112MB Free Space on Phone Memory, More than 6GB on Extended Memory

But sis, iam facing 412 error code in downloading. In hulkshare site , iam trying to download big files (90+ mb), after sometime download stops and showing "download failed. Error code[412] ". What's it's meaning sis?

like your phone model uc ver and network
and you facing this problem only on one site or also on others sites ?


And best is pls make a new topic in proper area as per your phone model

Dear friend,
It might be the site you visited are not avialible for the moment or the network is too slow,we suggest you check it with the inbuilt browser.If this error only appears in uc browser,pls send us the page link,we will check it.

we suggest you change the user agent and wap access via server or change the downloading path and block size,or rename the file.
If it still doesn't work,pls inform us the full link and tell us if there are any errors,we will check it.(You can check the error code of the failed downloading file in the download section.Select the failed downloading file,check the details of this file,there will be error code)

Dear Admin,
I reset and save the access setting by requesting them from the cell-operator, also changing the path, block size and renaming the file but no one could help, when i am using the Java App. no error code is shown on the detail window of failed download and just the "Error" tag will appear at the right side of file name on the main downloading window. but when i use the Symbian version of application plus the "Error" tag, another pop-up window containing the Message: "...file name...download failed, Error Code [403] forbidden" will appear.
i can not download ANY file! from ANY Site

Bro pls clear for your network provider
and if you have any uc translated ver in phone than remove it also remove the official file
than instal only official ver thru phone browser from official site is
wap.ucweb.com
after instal change only user agent in setting its wap to web
and check you are using full internet access point
mean that's network setting not have any proxy and port number on setting
than pls check again for your problem
if like so check this with other provider sim

Hi~Can you download the same thing with the inbuilt browser?Pls check if it is the file or the site's problem.
If this problem only happens in uc browser and you can't download any files from any sites,we suggest you delete the old ones in your phone and install a new one.Our official download site is wap.ucweb.com.

Dear Admin,
As i said before, nothing is changed after i removed and reinstalled the application,So i think something like a Registry Key remains in phone registry same as PC Windows Registry, which can not be removed from the phone operating system by uninstalling the application, somewhere in "system" folder on "C" drive or in "Private" folder at the root directory, caused the problem and shall be removed by deleting the text file manually, am i right?

'coz as a newbie; I've also not succeeded in making any thread here, only because of the uploading problem...
