proxy setting in uc browser

can any one tell me what is the meaning of proxy setting and how to use it in uc browser?is correct proxy setting increase the internet speed if it is possible then provide me correct proxy.Iam using aircel connection in java enabled phone.

Brother as internet speed totally depend on your provider
thru any setting you can't change speed
ya for good speed best is use your provider full net access point
mean that's access point not have any proxy and port on setting
and pls clear more
you like know which type proxy setting on uc
bcz uc not supporting this type any setting in official uc ver
if your need for free net
than pls search in other area
its not possible in official ver uc

proxy server can increase ur speed if and only if ur service provider has allowed it. The basic use of this proxy feature is to access those sites which might have been banned in some countries. for ex. , suppose facebook.com us banned in ur country. Then first of all you should search for a country where facebook is NOT banned. Then you wud search for a FREE PROXY SERVER that is located in that country. And then enter that proxy server in ucbrowsers proxy settings. In this way , you can bypass the blocking.

Bro you cant access banned sites but with proxy server you can access blocked websites.
Even if any site not work in UC browser or another you can use proxy server to download or browse website.
But if you want to browse banned website then you must hack the website.

my mistake, i write banned in place of blocked sites. can you now suggest me?

@insha79 how safe is UC for surfing the Occupy news sites i mean trace it back to me? isn't UC a Chinese IP server? Or is it better to use hidemyass.com. Thks in advance
